Most keys and locks are small and portable, allowing me to share pieces from my collection with others at community events. In addition to speaking about keys as tools and collectibles, I offer tips on personal safety, asset protection, and understanding the quality of the keys hiding in the junk drawer in your kitchen
I've presented to numerous groups across upstate New York, including
Antiques Club of the Finger Lakes (Geneva) WNY Antique Tool Collectors Assn (Batavia), Gates Historical Society (Gates, video here), Time Out for Women (Greece) and Bergen Historical Society (Bergen)
Circulated across the Finger Lakes Region of New York in the fall of 2021, this magazine featured a story about my lifelong collection, written by personal friend and fellow collector. Read the article here
I am currently scheduling additional presentations, and welcome a conversation about how my hobby can entertain and inform your audience!
Presentations can be tailored to any audience. I focus on the collectability of keys and locks, their role in our culture, understanding the value of keys you possess, and tips to find a key for a lock without one. Evenings and weekends are best; travel over 50 miles from 13165 may incur a fee
